The Racha with crown Origin Story:

Racha began as an idea from Matt Walden—a simple but ambitious goal to bring real Thai flavor to the market. What started as a vision for organic Thai meal kits quickly turned into something deeper. While searching for ingredients worthy of that mission - working side by side with his father Mark - we discovered a pepper unlike anything else. That discovery sparked a pepper quest across Thailand's provinces.

We weren't chasing heat—in Thailand, heat is easy to find. We were searching for the soul of the chili: a pepper that could hold onto its complex, floral character under the pressure of true Thai spice. When we couldn't find it, we committed to growing it ourselves.

Working closely with nature we cultivated proprietary seeds and brought the Racha Chili to life on our USDA-certified organic farm in Northern Thailand. In Thai, "Racha" means King—a name given to us by heritage Thai chefs who tasted our early harvests and recipes and recognized the balance, depth, and authenticity.

It took three years to complete the rigorous USDA organic certification process and to prove our seed-to-table belief: that the world's favorite chili sauce should be born on a farm, not in a lab. Racha is made with six simple ingredients—no preservatives, no pesticides, no fillers, no harsh white vinegar, no hidden sugars. Just an authentic Thai recipe, grown with intention.

We didn't just make an organic sauce. We brought the Racha pepper to life—and gave Sriracha its crown back.
